ASU Teachers Will Develop Online Courses in English

Astrakhan State University runs advanced training courses “Development and Design of Moodle Online Courses in Foreign Language in a Higher Educational Institution”.

The courses are organized by the ASU Unit of Corporate Training of the Department of Continuing Education and are held within the framework of the project on advanced training of the university teachers and staff members.

The courses are attended by representatives of eight faculties — the Faculty of Agribusiness, Technologies & Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Physics & Technology, Faculty of Business & Economy, Faculty of Mathematics & Information Technologies, Chemical Faculty, Faculty of Geology & Geography, Biological Faculty and Faculty of Social Communications. The programme covers technical, humanitarian and scientific majors.

The 220-hour programme implies an intensive course of English, including the profession-oriented language, an insight into LMS functional capabilities on Moodle platform, the European experience of developing educational online resources in a higher educational institution. At the final stage of the course, which will be completed in late June 2019, the attendees will develop specialized online courses in English and will receive an advanced training certificate (basic level).
