Astrakhan Pupil, Guided by an ASU Teacher, Is an Awardee of the Baltic Competition

Tatiana Dymova, an associate professor of the Faculty of Geology & Geography of Astrakhan State University, received commendations from Iliya Chistyakov, the President of the Foundation “Time for Science” and the chairman of the competition organizing committee, for her support of talented youth.

The 15th scientific & engineering competition, which brought together more than 500 pupils from 70 Russian regions, took place on February 4-7, 2019 in St. Petersburg. A 10th-grade pupil from the Rastopulovka village (Astrakhan region) also presented his research in biology Peculiarities of Breeding and Keeping Tropical Ants at Home, prepared under the guidance of Tatiana Dymova, an associate professor of the Department of Ecology, Nature & Land Management & Safe Vital Activities of Astrakhan State University.

The pupils, who presented their stand reports, had a chance to talk to representatives of scientific, educational, youth and business juries. Upon decision of the scientific jury, the Astrakhan researcher’s work ranked third.
