Konstantin Markelov Performs Boston Waltz and Spring Tango for Women

Another meeting of the ASU revived bard club was dedicated to International Women’s Day.

The concert “Songs about Love and Not Just That” brought together bard fans — from well-known Astrakhan performers to young talents who have recently taken a guitar for the first time — once again.

The topics of spring, tenderness, women’s beauty and charm sounded from the stage again and again, enriched with new aspects and niceties. The audience sang along their favourite songs of Bulat Okudzhava and Vladimir Vysotsky, Oleg Mityaev and Aleksandr Sukhanov, Evgeniy Klyachkin and Veronika Dolina.

In fact, every concerted item of that evening was a declaration of love which is so inexplicable and multifaceted.

The concert was traditionally concluded by Konstantin Markelov, the ASU Acting Rector, who took his guitar and congratulated all beautiful ladies on the upcoming holiday, performing “Boston Waltz” by Alexander Rosenbaum and “Spring Tango” by Valery Milyaev.

The next meeting of the bard club will take place in May, timed to Victory Day.
