Astrakhan State University Signs a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Sberbank of Russia

Konstantin Markelov, the ASU Acting Rector, and Dmitry Gurulev, the Deputy Chairman of the Povolzhsky Bank of Sberbank, discussed several issues on interaction efficiency and outlined a number of promising areas for cooperation.

Dmitry Gurulev proposed a joint ASU-Sberbank programme on teaching the fundamentals of cyber security to students and teachers.

Konstantin Markelov got interested in Dmitry Gurulev’s proposals and expressed his desire for developing interaction with Sberbank as a highly-promising partner and for implementing joint educational and engineering projects.

According to the Rector, the assignment given by Sberbank will help transform the university’s study programmes and train highly flexible specialists that will be in-demand at the labour market and ready to work without professional retraining. ASU already has agreements with its partners from the spheres of shipbuilding, agriculture, oil & gas and more.

At the end of the meeting, the officials signed an agreement on strategic partnership in the years ahead.
