ASU Editor Is an Awardee of the Russian Competition for Journalists
Olga Tikhonova, an editor of the Directorate of Information Policy of Astrakhan State University, won in the nomination “Science & Innovations” of the competition “Good Russian News”.
The competition was organized by the Federal News Agency (Riafan.ru), an up-to-date internet resource about social and political life in Russia and worldwide.
The competition “Good Russian News” was launched on Russia Day (June 12). It aims at supporting Russian journalists who work for regional media and promote positive news about Russia. According to the organizers, they received hundreds of works of different genres (news, reports and interviews) which claimed victory in five nominations: “Science & Innovations”, “National or Regional Economy”, “Society and Social Projects”, “Heroes of Our Time” and “Sports”. The expert jury selected 100 best works, and the winners were chosen through online voting.
Olga Tikhonova’s work “Information Security Projects of an ASU Student Are Recognized at Federal Level” about scientific achievements of Zafarzhon Nosirov, a MA student of the ASU Department of Information Security, was recognized the best in the nomination “Science & Innovations”.
