Foreign Students of the ASU Faculty of Philology Undertake an Externship

Most 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism do a traineeship at child summer camps and other child facilities of Astrakhan region. As for foreign students, they do an externship at the departments of the faculty and hone their pedagogical skills under the guidance of associate professors Malika Kunusova and Tatiana Gromova.

The trainees monitor general educational institutions, study the experience of linguists’ methodological associations, plan the activities of a modern teacher, study the issue of extracurricular activities according to the federal state educational standards and do a lot more. The students’ project activity resulted in pedagogical maps of Astrakhan, reports on different schools, literature references on chosen topics, programmes of extracurricular events on the Russian language and literature. Guided by the faculty teachers, the Turkmen students improve their IT skills and teamwork and build communicative strategies which are so important for scholars.
