ASU Successfully Implements Mobility Programme with University of Venice

Astrakhan State University and the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice have been cooperating within the framework of the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme for more than 13 years. This May, Astrakhan welcomed nine Italian students who came to our city to undertake traineeships at the largest companies of the region. One of them shares his impressions and emotions from the traineeship course.

The Master ELEO project has been implemented since 2018 and implies combination of university studies and a traineeship at enterprises of the partner university. It is the first group of trainees that came to ASU within the student mobility programme. Having passed a month course in Russian, the trainees were placed on jobs at several companies.

They undertook a traineeship at organizations that are partners of our university. These are the Caspian Energy Management LLC, the special economic zone “Lotus”, the Astrakhan locomotive rebuilder and Elena Group (a fashion industry traineeship).

Jadi Marinai, one of the Italian trainees, told us about his traineeship at two companies. During the first month of his stay at ASU, the student improved his knowledge in colloquial Russian, and then he passed on to a 250-hour traineeship course. Firstly, Jadi did a 4-week traineeship course at the Caspian Energy, and then — a 5-week course at the Astrakhan locomotive rebuilder. Learn about the Italian trainee’s life and adventures in Astrakhan in our longread.
