ASU Is One of Five Winners of Grant Project of the RF Ministry of Finance
Each year, the Faculty of Pedagogics & Social Work of Astrakhan State University takes part in and wins the grant project “Promoting Higher Level of Financial Literacy of Population and Financial Education Development in the Russian Federation”.
In the new 2019/2020 academic year, Astrakhan State University has joined five winners within the fourth stage of the training.
An orientation workshop for teachers of the universities that won the competitive selection on training students within the programme «Financial Literacy and Training Methods” was held by the International Financial Centre Institute and the Southern Federal University on October 2-3 in Moscow. Astrakhan State University was represented there by Galina Palatkina, the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogics & Social Work.
The workshop participants considered some issues of implementation of the project in teaching the methods for delivering courses of financial literacy in RF institutions of general, vocational and additional education to students of pedagogical majors.
For example, now ASU is preparing for and organizing the implementation of the training programme. Classes will take place from October 24 to December 21, 2019 at the Centre for Continuing Improvement of Teachers’ Professional Skills “Teacher of the Future”. The project will involve 400 students of pedagogical majors from different faculties. Upon the results of the training course, each participant will receive a certificate on advanced training for completion of the programme “Financial Literacy & Training Methods”.
