Journalism Students of Astrakhan State University Hold New Year’s Festival

Such meetings, held to sum up the results of another passing year, have already become traditional for journalism students of ASU. Mass media experts-to-be talked to each other in a warm atmosphere and set a real Christmas mood for themselves and their groupmates.

The festival included a performance from the team of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism “Antenna”, which is a member of the KVN student club “ASU League”. The team members — first-year students of the major “Journalism” — showed some items from their performance. The freshers also prepared a New Year’s photo exhibition and told the audience about the events that had formed the basis of the exhibited photos. Then senior students picked up the baton: they prepared bright and original stories, interesting longreads and presentations about New Year’s holidays and traditions of celebrating the New Year in other countries.

The senior students also prepared a photo exhibition for the New Year’s Eve meeting. They presented the brightest events of the passing year — the recent socialization, the Russian National Awards “Student of the Year” and a lot more.
