Master’s Degree Student of Astrakhan State University Attended Forum in Malaysia

In February 2020, Ekaterina Zhikhareva, a 1st-year Master’s degree student in agronomy of the ASU Faculty of Agribusiness, Technologies & Veterinary Medicine, took part in the Global Youth Forum “Cooperative Entrepreneurship 2020” with a report on sun-dried tomatoes.

The event was organized under the aegis of the International Co-operative Alliance within the ICA-EU cooperation initiative under support of the European Union.

The forum brought together more than 250 experts from 50 countries — these were both young cooperators and experts in youth entrepreneurship support, leaders of co-operative educational programmes and representatives of co-operative unions.

During the event, the attendees exchanged their best practices of development of the youth co-operative entrepreneurship and worked out joint initiatives and cooperation plans.

The forum resulted in a resolution with a set of solutions, recommended for implementation in order to develop the youth entrepreneurship, and a draft plan of interaction between the forum participants and the communities they represent.
