Astrakhan State University Helps Primary Schoolchildren Connect with Science

The ASU Branch in Znamensk held a scientific competition “First Steps in Science” for schoolchildren within the framework of the project “Child Academy”.

The event was aimed at creating conditions for raising the interest in cognitive, creative and research activities among primary schoolchildren. It was organized by the Department of Pedagogics, Psychology & Humanities.

The competition was held in two categories. At the first stage, Znamensk schoolchildren presented their creative projects, each with its own originality and innovation. At the second stage, the children presented their research works, dedicated to unusual and exciting topics.

The event helped activate not only thinking capacities of the primary schoolchildren but also their creative skills. They were supported by parents and teachers who supervised their research.
