Students of Astrakhan State University Will Help Teachers Feel at Ease in New Reality

The Faculty of Digital Technologies & Cybersecurity has created a team of digital volunteers within the framework of the ASU volunteering movement “CyberPatrol”. Students offer consultations to the teaching staff of Astrakhan schools on the issues of organizing distance learning. For now, the team already consists of 20 members.

The students explain how to install, configure and use videoconference programs to teachers of our region and tell them about the available functions. It’s necessary that teachers can organize comfortable work with schoolchildren during their online learning period.

The students also provide with other options of technical support — they help choose proper versions of programs for the PC, correct errors and so on. In order to address more difficult tasks, the volunteers involve teachers of our university, who are also happy to answer a request for help.

The students have already started processing the first requests, and some schools even will have their own coordinators.

Besides, earlier the activists developed similar instructions for users of Moodle and Zoom platforms, which are now widely used by teachers of Astrakhan State University and other HEIs in organizing distance training of students.
