Volunteers of Astrakhan State University Take Part in Veteran Support Campaign

The campaign to support the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, of internal affairs agencies and families of the officers killed on duty was initiated by ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov, who is the Chairman of the Public Council of the Astrakhan Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, and staff members of the department.

The rector, students and university members together with the police officers delivered grocery baskets to more than 30 families.

Visiting the families, the mobile teams reminded them on the necessity to observe the restrictions and bans, introduced because of the threat of the COVID-19 spread, and asked them to keep self-isolation.

The Astrakhan citizens thanked the volunteers for their care and support.
