Akhtubinsk Schoolchildren Win Young Mathematician Competition in ASU

The online event, organized by the Department of Mathematics & Mathematics Teaching Technique, took place on April 30. Itinvolved 13 school children of Astrakhan and Astrakhan region.

It’s the third year the event has been held, and it’s always been a team competition. However, the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in this year’s competition being individual and remote.

All the three medal places were taken by children studying at the Akhtubinsk Secondary Comprehensive School.

The winners will receive certificates and get four extra points to their results of the final exam in mathematics if they decide to enter ASU. Other participants of the competition “Young Mathematician” will receive certificates on two extra points.
