ASU Ranks 14 Positions Higher in Annual National Ranking of Universities

International information group Interfax has presented the 11th National Ranking of Universities of 2020. The project assessed 337 leading universities and institutes of Russia. Astrakhan State University got 369 points and ranked 132rd.

The list is traditionally led by Lomonosov Moscow State University, followed by MEPhI National Research Nuclear University and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University).

It should be noted that two HEIs of Astrakhan region entered the national ranking. The Astrakhan State Medical University ranked 162nd.

The universities are assessed by six parameters — educational activity, research, social environment, internationalization (international cooperation), brand, innovations and technological entrepreneurship. This year, the highest indices of Astrakhan State University are the ones of international cooperation (ranked 54th).
