Astrakhan State University Outlines New Ways of Cooperation with Sberbank
Last Friday, on October 2, ASU hosted a working meeting of Sberbank management representatives with university’s scientists. Meeting participants discussed modern technologies of lean production, cybersecurity and waste treatment.
The Sberbank representatives presented two products within the lean production project to their colleagues — “Operations Control Automation System” and “Smart Objects”. The guests said they wanted to see the university not only as a service consumer but as a partner too.
Discussing the ways of cooperation in the sphere of cybersecurity, Nikolay Simoshin, who is the Deputy Chief of Sberbank Astrakhan Office No.8625, noted that it would be possible to conduct joint research on a few issues.
Head of the ASU Artificial Intelligence Project Office Aleksandr Koshkarov offered to design an online game training app, using some developments of Sberbank, and to organize a series of classes on financial literacy for students and staff members at ASU.
Introduction of project “ASU Sber Insurance” may be another area of joint work; the project implies protection of citizens’ savings with the use of innovative developments of the university.
Speaking about environmental cooperation, the Sberbank representative noted that only 7% of waste is recycled in Russia, while 93% are kept on landfill sites. In this regard, Astrakhan offers a broad field for joint projects.
Another working meeting at ASU is taking place as early as this week.
