ASU Will Help Rural People Make Good the Deficiency of Teaching Staff

On October 8, representatives of Astrakhan State University held another business meeting with the authorities and teachers of Astrakhan rural districts. This time, the top-management of Astrakhan State University visited the Akhtubinsky and Kharabalinsky districts.

The ASU delegation, headed by Rector Konstantin Markelov, included Vice Rector for Academic Activities Aleksandr Treshchev, Head of the Directorate for Pre-University Training & Students Admission Lyudmila Tovarnichenko and Dean of the Faculty of Agribusiness, Technologies & Veterinary Medicine Rinat Dubin.

The colleagues discussed the most topical issues, related to prospective student admission to higher educational institutions in the next academic year.

Citizens of the rural districts learnt about school projects of ASU and current joint programmes with partner universities.

The meetings resulted in an agreement on establishing a pedagogical class at the Kharabalinsky district school, since the teaching HR of the region really needs renewal.

It should be recalled that yesterday’s trip was one of the planned visits to the municipal entities of Astrakhan region; the university’s representatives already visited the Kamyzyak, Ikryaninsky and Narimanovsky districts.
