Lyudmila Baeva Speaks about Implementation of Jean Monnet Modules Project

On October 15, the dean of the Faculty of Social Communications of Astrakhan State University took part in online conference “Jean Monnet Contribution to Development of Russian Universities” which was organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Russia and gathered more than 100 participants from different cities.

The conference was organized within the Erasmus Days 2020, celebrated on October 15-17.

In her speech, Lyudmila Baeva told her colleagues about the ASU experience of participation in Erasmus+ projects in general and about the implementation of her project within the Jean Monnet Modules programme.

Astrakhan State University has won four grants in this programme since 2016. Each of them was aimed at creating a new teaching module related to EU studies. Currently, the Faculty of Social Communications is implementing project “EU Sustainable Development Strategy”, and a module under the same name has been introduced to the curricula of Bachelor and Master’s degree students in sociology and philosophy. Introduction of such modules ensures better understanding of the European culture and forms an atmosphere of trust and cooperation between countries and their citizens.
