Schoolchildren of Krasnoyarsky District Can Get High-Quality Education at ASU
Representatives of the university keep visiting municipal entities of the region. Yesterday, on October 25, the ASU delegation of Rector Konstantin Markelov, Vice Rector for Academic Activities Aleksandr Treshchev, Head of the Directorate for Pre-University Training & Students Admission Lyudmila Tovarnichenko and Dean of the Chemical Faculty Aleksey Tyrkov met with representatives of the educational sector and the administration of the Krasnoyarsky District.
The meeting participants outlined areas of cooperation and developed a strategy of educational interaction between the district and the university.
Konstantin Markelov told his colleagues about Astrakhan State University, its plans and proposals. He also noted that the region had a strong need for engineering and natural science specialists, as well as young scientists and teachers.
Besides, Konstantin Markelov spoke about a wide network of university’s partners in Russia and globally and about academic mobility programmes.
In his presentation, Aleksandr Treshchev told the audience about the potential of joint activities by the scheme “school — university” or “school — enterprise — university”. The vice rector for academic activities proposed to establish school chairs, lecture halls, summer/winter project shifts and even a virtual branch office of the university at school. The speaker also focused on the advantages of targeted admission to our university.
In his turn, Dean of the ASU Chemical Faculty Aleksey Tyrkov told the participants about some educational projects that can be implemented by joint efforts.
Deputy Head of the District Administration — Head of the Education Directorate Lyudmila Sergeeva thanked Konstantin Markelov’s team and expressed the readiness for cooperation in preparing the schoolchildren for the final state examinations, establishment of specialized classes and holding of online laboratory research for schoolchildren with regard to the federal state educational standards.
