Astrakhan State University Welcomes “Children of the Whole Russia”

Astrakhan has seen a start of the regional educational workshop, dedicated to post-orphanage support of orphan children. It brought together orphanage leavers, social care teachers, heads of social organizations, representatives of the authorities and volunteering organizations of the Southern and North Caucasus federal districts.

The participants were welcomed by Minister of Social Development and Labour of Astrakhan region Oleg Petelin and Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov.

Chair of the all-Russia social organization “Orphanage Leavers’ Community, member of the Advisory Council for Orphan Children Support Issues and ASU graduate Albert Sarbalaev also addressed the audience on behalf of RF Minister of Enlightenment Sergey Kravtsov and Head of the Federal Youth Agency Aleksandr Bugaev.

Forum “Children of the Whole Russia is organized by Astrakhan State University and the Orphanage Leavers’ Community. The event is held under grant support won in the all-Russia competition of youth projects among educational institutions of higher professional education, organized by the Federal Youth Agency in 2020.

The 2-day programme of the forum includes plenary sessions, innovative business games, webinars, lectures and seminars, as well as preparation and presentation of projects by the participants. The seminar agenda consists of the issues of improving legal literacy, socialization of orphanage leavers and post-orphanage support; the participants will learn best practices of the Russian regions in this sphere and take part in various online and offline activities.
