ASU Students Design New Brands for Astrakhan Region
On October 29, the Center of Pedagogical Staff’s Continuing Education “Teacher of the Future” held a panel discussion within the creative meeting with the winners of competition “Media-Maker” (Southern Federal District), members of the Interethnic Journalism Guild.
The event was attended by representatives of the media of the Republic of Crimea, Krasnodar Krai and Rostov Region, as well as the administration of Astrakhan Region. Besides, the discussion involved students and professors of the ASU Faculty of Philology & Journalism and Law Faculty.
The organizers suggested that their media colleagues and guests from other regions shared their experience in promotion of regional brands. ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov noted that along with the people’s brands — watermelons, fish, caviar, tomatoes, etc. — that were created and promoted without direct participation of the media, it is necessary to create new ones.
Director of the Centre for Strategic Analysis and Project Management Denis Tuygunov told the audience about the main latest trends in branding, highlighting the importance of the image component.
Participants were also shown the projects, implemented by the students, and then they merged into a creative process that resulted in new projects on branding Astrakhan region.
