Astrakhan State University United “Children of the Whole Russia”
The regional seminar-meeting on post-orphanage support of orphan children has been held this week in Astrakhan under support of the Federal Youth Agency.
Participants of the seminar-meeting discussed the most pressing issues of post-orphanage support and the measures of financial and social support of orphanage leavers in Russia. They attended four panel discussions, two master-classes and innovative business games, talked to experts and learnt about the supportive measures for orphan children in higher and vocational educational institutions.
During discussion “Analysis of Existing Mechanisms of State Support of Orphan Children and Children without Parental Care in Modern Russia”, Konstantin Markelov outlined the ASU activities on supporting orphan children who want to get higher education.
Participants of one of the master-classes learnt about formation and development of working competences. Andrey Bakhmetiev told the audience about his life path and shared his experience of involving Russian participants into international robotic engineering competition “Eurobot”.
Participants of the seminar-meeting also discussed the role of public associations in post-orphanage support of orphan children and presented best regional practices in this sphere.
