Experts of ASU and Southern Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing Centre Discuss Roadmap for Scientific and Educational Development
Representatives of Astrakhan State University had a discussion with the management of the Training Centre and the Unit of Production System Development of the Southern Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing Centre. The colleagues met on the occasion of the official ceremony of launching a nonself-propelled freight pontoon “Beluga-1”.
ASU was represented by staff members of the Joint Research Laboratory of Condensed-Matter Physics and of New Methods in Material Science by Astrakhan State University & by Institute of Solid State Physics of Russian Academy of Sciences and Director of the Caspian Higher Engineering School Svetlana Panarina.
The colleagues considered two key areas of cooperation between the Southern Centre and ASU — organization of work of “Factory of Processes” and of a laboratory for materials control and technology.
“A decision was made on joint implementation of educational programmes for ASU students and employees of the Southern Centre in the sphere of lean production within the framework of project „Factory of Processes“ which is to be launched in 2021. Besides, we have discussed an initiative on drafting a passport of „Centre for Certification of Welding Production Specialists“, a joint project of the Training Centre of the Southern Shipbuilding and Shiprepairing Centre and the Joint Research Laboratory of Condensed-Matter Physics and of New Methods in Material Science by Astrakhan State University & by Institute of Solid State Physics of Russian Academy of Sciences,” says Svetlana Panarina.
