ASU and SFedU Hold International Transport Logistics Event

Scientific and applied conference “Tendencies of Development of Transport & Logistic System under Conditions of Digital Transformation” is being held online within the action plan of the Transport & Logistics Consortium of Caspian Higher Educational Institutions.

The conference is a result of fruitful academic cooperation between scientists of Southern Federal University and Astrakhan State University. Despite the challenging epidemiological situation, the online meeting managed to bring together representatives of scientific and educational organizations to exchange experience in the development of the transport and logistics system under conditions of digital transformation.

ASU Rector and Consortium President Konstantin Markelov wished the participants fruitful work at the conference. He noted that the Russian government pays great attention to the development of the Volga-Caspian transport and logistics potential.

A series of reports was opened by Head of the ASU Engineering Project Office Aleksey Titov. He told the participants about new challenges and approaches to solve problems in big data management in transport logistics. Using the example of the marine sector, he explained how frequency data on transportation can be used for making managerial decisions.

The work of the large-scale conference is under way. Participants of specialized sessions are sharing their experience of training HR for transport logistics and of developing interaction with the government and businesses, and are talking about the development of the transport and logistics system in China, Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries, as well as about formation of a digital ecosystem of international cooperation.
