ASU Professor Discusses Issues of Caspian Security with Colleagues

Dean of the Faculty of Social Communications of Astrakhan State University Lyudmila Baeva has taken part in the 1st Russian-Iranian Sociological Forum.

The event, organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences, was held in a mixed online/offline format and united scientists of the two countries.

On the instructions of ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov, Lyudmila Baeva delivered a welcoming speech and presented her report “Geostrategic Importance of Caspian Region and Scientific Communications” at the forum. The report focused on the issues of Caspian security and on the strengthening of a significant role of cooperation between the Caspian states.

Lyudmila Baeva told the participants about long-term cooperation between scientists from Astrakhan and ASU with Iranian HEIs and about implementation of educational and scientific programmes and projects, aimed at strengthening cultural, humanitarian ties and good neighborly relations between our countries.
