Astrakhan State University Discusses Issues of Careful Attitude to Nature

The Department of Theory & History of Journalism held a meeting of ASU students with RF State Duma Deputy, member of the Ecology & Environmental Protection Committee Aleksandr Klykanov. Journalists-to-be talked to the guest about environmental issues, their coverage by mass media and presented their socially important projects.

The MP was shown three works, prepared by the students within subject "Social and Political Advertising" and "News Television Journalism".

The speaker told the students about some niceties of separate collection of waste, its sorting and processing, as well as about State Duma’s initiatives on environmental and animal protection. The students also could ask the deputy about the issues of their concern — effective measures and laws on environmental protection in the region and current environmental problems.

At the end of the meeting, the State Duma Deputy awarded Dean of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism Lyudmila Kasianova, Head of the Department of Theory & History of Journalism Galina Belolipskaya and Associate Professor of the department Irina Fadeeva with letters of gratitude for active cooperation and a creative approach to joint initiatives.
