ASU Scientists Develop a Concept of Caspian Transport Logistics

Today, Astrakhan State University has hosted a working meeting of representatives of the university with Director-General of special economic zone “Lotus” Sergey Milushkin.

In his speech, the head of the special economic zone touched upon the main issues of gradual development of the port and its area, and considered the issue of regulating the cargo traffic in the Caspian macroregion. Sergey Milushkin pointed out the need for further research of the interaction between the major and fish bypass channels.

In his turn, Director of the ASU Institute of Physics & Mathematics Aleksey Rybakov proposed to create a mathematical model for optimizing the Caspian transport logistics, based on open-source materials, upon the request of the industrial partner.

“We will develop a solution for this applied task, and it will be possible to adjust it for a certain region,” added ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov.
