“We’ve Taken the Right Course!”: ASU Celebrates Foundation of Pedagogical Faculty

On December 16, the Cultural Centre of Astrakhan State University hosted an official celebration, dedicated to the anniversary of the foundation of the Faculty of Pedagogical Education, Arts, Service & Culture.

The concert hall brought together the faculty’s big family — professors and students, freshers and alumni, senior specialists, who stood at the origins of the faculty, and their young colleagues, as well as guests from various agencies and organizations of Astrakhan.

Welcoming the audience, ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov noted that the faculty has a solid history, so, despite the new name the faculty has been recently given, it can be called “new” only loosely. The structural unit is extending, growing, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and initiates new ideas in education, creativity and social life of the university, Astrakhan and the whole region.

According to Konstantin Markelov, the dean of the faculty plays a special role in its development, since she always seeks to keep up with the times, shows the initiative, decently implements the most up-to-date ideas and involves partners. In her turn, Galina Palatkina expressed her gratitude both to the management and to the faculty’s family for their constant support.

The official occasion continued with a concert with singing, dancing, poem recitation and outstanding scenic stories, performed by creative teams, students and alumni of the faculty.
