More Than 8,000 People Studied in ASU Additional Programmes in 2020

The annual summary report was presented by Director of the Department of Continuing Education of Astrakhan State University Galina Fayzieva at the meeting of the Academic Council.

According to the report, this year ASU has implemented 180 additional education programmes, including 45 general programmes, 67 advanced training programmes, 64 professional retraining programmes and 4 vocational programmes.

All the faculties of the university, ASU College and ASU Branch in Znamensk provide additional education services. Besides, the Academy of Foreign Languages, Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation, Sturgeon Breeding Research & Educational Center, Art Platform Project Office and House of Scientific Collaboration named after V.K. Trediakovsky are also very active in implementing the programmes.

Speaking about the prospects of ASU activities in this area, Galina Fayzieva mentioned, in particular, the importance of further participation in grant programmes, broadening of the range of programmes and services of additional education, usage of trick technologies, sale of educational solutions and products of additional professional education, implementation of additional education programmes, strengthening students’ basic competences, by the faculties, etc.
