ASU Welcomes Delegation of Kazakhstan Embassy in Russia

Astrakhan State University welcomed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Ermek Kosherbaev. The distinguished guest was shown the key units and scientific and educational potential of the university.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ermek Kosherbaev gave some advice on promoting and improving the ASU scientists’ projects. The university’s administration invited the ambassador and student teams from Kazakhstan to the upcoming robotic engineering events — a startup festival of the Youth Engineering Project Office and Russian Championship “Eurobot 2021”.

The ambassador was particularly impressed by programmes of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation. CITS Director Uliana Savelieva told the guest about the main MA programmes of the school. Besides, the parties discussed possibilities of creating joint programmes of teaching staff mobility.

Having been shown the university, Ermek Kosherbaev met with the Kazakhstan students of Astrakhan State University.

Addressing the students, the diplomat noted that they are very lucky to study in a modern university with up-to-date infrastructure, offering opportunities for self-fulfillment in science, sports, creativity and other spheres.

Ermek Kosherbaev shared his own memories of studentship with the audience and answered the foreign students’ questions.
