ASU Will Prepare for PhD Candidacy Examinations

Astrakhan State University has approved a new additional general programme, aimed at forming personal qualities and professional competencies, necessary for finding regularities and tendencies in the sphere of theory and methodology of professional education.

Programme Theory and Methods of Professional Education for Passing PhD Candidacy Examinations will help Ph.D. candidates of the ASU Department of Pedagogics & Continuing Professional Education gain knowledge and competencies, necessary for passing their examinations successfully. Upon completion of the course, the attendees will be ready to carry out critical analysis and evaluation of modern scientific advances in the sphere of education and pedagogics and to generate new ideas in solving research and practical tasks. They also will be able to design and do pedagogical research on the basis of holistic and consistent scientific outlook, using the knowledge in general pedagogics, history of pedagogics and education.

The programme was designed by ASU Vice Rector for Academic Activities, Professor of the Department of Pedagogics & Continuing Professional Education Aleksandr Treshchev and Head of the department Irina Romanovskaya.
