ASU Scientists Are Honored on Russian Science Day

Astrakhan State University has held a celebration of the major holiday of the scientific community. The meeting brought together full professors, teachers, researchers and engineers of the university who decided to dedicated their lives to science. The event also involved a few distinguished guests — partners of ASU.

On December 25, 2020 President Vladimir Putin issued a decree on the Year of Science and Technology in 2021 in Russia. At the celebration concert, Astrakhan State University, like all HEIs of the country, declared open the Year of Science and Technology.

Both experienced and young scientists of Astrakhan State University were awarded certificates of merit and letters of gratitude from the regional Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Astrakhan Regional Duma, LUKOIL-NizhnevolzhskNeft, Russian Railways, Sberbank of Russia, Southern Shipbuilding & Shiprepairing Centre and Special Economic Zone “Lotus”.

Representatives of the agencies and partner organizations stressed that ASU scientists make un undeniable contribution to implementation of regional, national and international projects every year.

Professors and administrative staff members were also awarded by letters of gratitude from the ASU rector for their active participation in university’s scientific activities, high professionalism and the pursuance of new victories.
