ASU Holds February Round of World Engineering Competitions on a Grand Scale
The competition took place last weekend on the online platform of Astrakhan State University. This month, the organizers of the World Engineering Competitions (WEC) have sprung a few pleasant surprises on the participants, introducing new levels of preparation.
For example, the PRO level is meant for the entrants that are proficient in using Autodesk Fusion 360 and capable of modeling pieces and designing complex structures on their own. New level «Junior 8-10» has been introduced for the entrants who don’t handle Fusion 360 but have a general notion of 3D modeling. Finally, the Junior 11-13 level implies that a participant has a general notion of 3D modeling and is capable of creating elementary geometrical figures. The New Technology Academy will further introduce additional conditions for the youngest participants of the World Engineering Competitions.
In February 2021, the Astrakhan online platform of the World Engineering Competitions brought together three times as many participants as in January — these are students of the Astrakhan Engineering School, Kvantorium regional school technopark and ASU students.
We invite everyone interested to participate in the next round of WEC on 20 and 21 of March!
