ASU Discusses Possibilities of Defending Graduation Theses in Form of Startup

Last week, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogical Education, Art, Service & Culture Galina Palatkina met with Director of the Caspian Higher Engineering School Svetlana Panarina and Head of the Engineering Project Office Andrei Kandil at the School of Sewing Craft of Astrakhan State University.

The main heroes of the meeting were the graduates of 2021 — in a few months, they will have to defend their graduation qualification papers. The students presented the projects they are working on as part of the empirical part of their theses. In particular, the students of the Faculty of Pedagogical Education, Art, Service & Culture demonstrated their own design and manufacturing technology for T-shirts, hats, cuddly toys and goods for newborns.

Svetlana Panarina and Andrey Kandil assessed the possibility of restructuring the format of the presented studies into the format “Thesis in the Form of a Startup”.

In her turn, Galina Palatkina expressed her readiness and interest in the participation of students and professors of the faculty in implementation of the project “Thesis in the Form of a Startup” at ASU.
