Regional Ministry of Education Awards ASU Professor

Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov handed a certificate of merit to Olga Leonova, an Associate professor of the Department of Sociology, at the March meeting of the Academic Council.

The award from the Ministry of Education and Science of Astrakhan Region was handed to the professor for the high professional mastery and many-year dedicated work in higher education.

Olga Leonova has been working in her specialty for more than 30 years. Her research interests include applied sociological research of youth subcultures, specificity of deviant behavior in the youth environment, studies on the youth’s value orientations and the socio-cultural sphere of the region.
