ASI Expert Tells ASU about Successful Entrepreneurship

The Centre of Pedagogical Staff’s Continuing Education “Teacher of the Future” of Astrakhan State University has held a round table on topic “Combining Science and Business”.

The speaker of the event was representative of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in the Vologda Region, specializing in entrepreneurship and technology, professor at Cherepovets State University and representative the Aquaculture Group Mikhail Kutuzov.

At the beginning of the meeting, the expert gave an overview lecture on technological entrepreneurship: he spoke about the criteria for success of a business idea and made recommendations for introducing a product or service into the market. In addition, the speaker dwelled on the issues of patent and intellectual property registration.

The topics covered during the discussion found an active response from the audience. Thus, the most frequently asked questions were about the possibilities and ways of bringing products, developed in the laboratories of the university, to the international market, on ways to reduce research costs and ways to obtain grants and investment support for projects.

During his visit to ASU, Mikhail Kutuzov also held consultations with students and graduate students of the Faculty of Biology, visited the Shared-Knowledge Centre of Viable Technologies in Electronics & Robotics and got acquainted with the ASU anchor projects “Marine Multipurpose Unmanned Platform» and “Hovercraft”. In addition, the round table became the first acceleration event for the participants of project “Thesis Defense in the Form of Startup”.
