ASU Engineers Win Silver Medals of Russian Submersible Robots Cup

The winners have been awarded at the Boiling Point Centre of Astrakhan State University within the framework of international scientific and applied conference “Experience and Prospects for Using Unmanned Submersibles”.

The event was opened by Rector of ASU Konstantin Markelov, who welcomed and congratulated the participants of the meeting.

Astrakhan State University was represented at the competition by two teams: a team of the Institute of Physics & Mathematics with MUVIC robot, and newcomers — young engineers — with SMELCOM robot.

Here is the list of winners:

1st place — Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman;

2nd place — Astrakhan State University (the team of the Institute Physics & Mathematics);

3rd place — St. Petersburg State Technical Maritime University.

According to Ekaterina Khapugina, Director of the LUKOIL Corporate Training Centre, which was the venue of the competition, the young engineers’ developments will help to further improve technologies for preserving nature and human health.
