ASU Discusses Issues of Providing Psychological Assistance

The 5th all-Russia scientific and applied conference, dedicated to the memory of university’s honorary professor Antonina Burova, has been held at the Faculty of Psychology of Astrakhan State University.

The event was organized by the Department of General and Cognitive Psychology.

Students, Ph.D. candidates, university professors, psychologists, teachers, speech therapists and educators took part in the anniversary Burov readings. In total, the event brought together about 100 people from Astrakhan, Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Khabarovsk.

The topics of the speeches touched upon current research in the field of cognitive psychology, psychology of education, family, professional activity, as well as issues of the development of children, adolescents and the youth.

Summing up the results of the conference, Dean of the ASU Faculty of Psychology Boris Kaygorodov noted that current research in the field of psychology makes it possible to help many individuals and families in times of crisis not to fall into the state of depression and emotional exhaustion, and also to involve young people in helping society on both theoretical and practical levels.
