Lyudmila Baeva Speaks about Development of Intercultural Competencies at ASU
The dean of the Faculty of Social Communications has represented Astrakhan State University at international conference “Russia — Azerbaijan: Historical Experience of Interethnic And Interreligious Harmony”, held in Kazan.
Participating in the event through videoconferencing, Lyudmila Baeva was the main speaker of roundtable “Role and Specificity of Interreligious Dialogue in Peace Building”. Her report “Development of Intercultural Competency at University on the Example of the Introduction to Subject “Spiritual and Moral Issues of Modern Human and Society” generalized and presented the experience of teaching this course at ASU for the scientific community. The audience got acquainted with the methods of teaching the subject and with the scientific development of materials for this course, which has worldview significance.
The report was made within the framework of the action plan of the ASU Department “UNESCO Chair: Learning Society and Human Sustainable Development” on interaction with educational organizations for sustainable development, exchange of educational practices and scientific cooperation.
