Dear professors, students and administrative staff members of Astrakhan State University! Dear veterans! Let me congratulate you on the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War!

Every year, we feel both joy and pain on this May day. Pain for people who once sacrificed everything for their country, for those who lost the loved ones in the war. Now it is important for us to appreciate what we have and make sure that the Eternal Flame — a symbol of memory and respect — does not go out.

We will never forget the feat of the heroes who survived and won this terrible war. We will always remember our veterans who managed to save the peaceful skies for future generations.

On this holiday, I wish everyone calmness and peace. May every day be filled with joy, smiles and happiness!
