ASU Professor Discusses Jobs of the Future with Colleagues

Irina Kucheruk, Head of the Department of Design of Astrakhan State University, has taken part in a meeting of the expert council under the Committee on Education and Science of the RF State Duma.

Discussion within this platform of ASU external collaboration covered such topical issues of the development of regional and municipal science as the key challenges and limiting factors for the development of the regional labour market, jobs of the future, strategies for the social and biosphere development of the Russian territories, and the issues of their strategic development.

As Irina Kucheruk noted, the meeting audience got especially interested in the report made by a group of scientists from the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, based on a longitudinal study and aimed to identify specific features of the current state of the regional labour market.

In addition, the experts discussed which jobs of the future would become relevant for the modernization of the process of training specialists with higher education. The top 5 includes an information systems architect, a startup mentor, a project training organizer, a digital linguist and an interface designer.
