ASU Journalism Students Present Concept Layouts of Their Editions
Presentation of the projects, prepared by second-year students of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism, has been held within the framework of subject “Issuing an Educational Newspaper”. Their topics were to be related to science, because the year of 2021 had been declared the Year of Science and Technology in Russia.
The students presented projects of their own printed media. They were to think up the title of the media, the headings, select materials and explain why this newspaper is relevant. Among the announced topics there were robotics, artificial intelligence, space, ecology, archeology, university scientific laboratories, e-sports, etc.
Creativity of the future media specialists was assessed by ASU professors, journalist Marina Guryeva and Secretary of the Astrakhan branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia Vladimir Pigarev.
Head of the Department of Theory & History of Journalism Galina Belolipskaya commented on the work of her students, noting that they fully met her expectations.
The invited guests also highly appreciated the concept layouts of the educational editions, expressing their confidence that when these projects are finalized, they can become something really serious and be published along with other printed media.
