Official Opening Ceremony of Forum “Caspian Region 2021: Sustainable Development Trajectories” at ASU
Today, Astrakhan State University has become a platform that brought together representatives of the Greater Caspian countries, leading speakers of Russia and the Caspian states — representatives of science, business and culture.
The solemn ceremony was opened by Governor of Astrakhan Region Igor Babushkin. The governor noted that the topic of the event is very important, since the dynamics of development around the world today is largely determined by intellectual values, and the interest of society in innovations, which become a guarantee of stability for any state, is growing, and young scientists act as drivers of forward movement.
A welcoming speech on behalf of Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov was made by his deputy Andrey Omelchuk. According to the representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the idea of the forum corresponds to the challenges of our time and will allow to unite the scientific communities of different countries. The meetings that will take place today on the sidelines of the forum will help to find answers to lots of urgent questions.
According to President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Aleksandr Sergeev, one of the main tasks for the development of geostrategic territories is to find their own development trajectories in the field of technology and innovation. The academician also promised to help Astrakhan Region not only in finding projects but also in bringing them to a specific result.
At the official opening ceremony of international scientific forum “Caspian Region 2021: Sustainable Development Trajectories” Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov noted that rectors of many universities of the country, as well as representatives of 11 states, are taking part in the large-scale event.
The solemn event continued with panel discussion “Caspian Region 2021: Sustainable Development Trajectories”.
