ASU Rector Holds a Business Meeting with Agro-Matic Director-General

Konstantin Markelov and Andrey Stavtsev have discussed possible joint aquaculture projects at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Astrakhan State University and the enterprise.

Agro-Matic research and production association is one of the leading Russian producers of protein concentrates based on white lupine grain. The opening of this area was preceded by several years of work in cooperation with other companies to develop new technologies for the production of protein feed.

These days, the company keeps developing their innovative ideas. For example, foodstuff for industrial shellfishery is being developed and tested in collaboration with fish farmers. In addition, the company’s experts are able to design and install closed water supply systems for fish farming. There are projects for the disposal of waste from agricultural enterprises, for the comprehensive development of the foodstuff industry and agricultural production.

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Rector of Astrakhan State University Konstantin Markelov and Director-General of Agro-Matik Andrey Stavtsev held a meeting and discussed the implementation of joint projects in the field of aquaculture.
