ASU Robots Will Help to Study Ground and Water Areas
A team of young engineers from Astrakhan State University has presented two new developments — an unmanned aerial vehicle SMELCOM Robotics — AGRODAY and a large underwater vehicle Smelcom Robotics Prometey.
Dmitry Reztsov, a Master’s degree graduate of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics & Engineering Technologies of Astrakhan State University and an engineer at the ASU Shared Knowledge Center of Viable Technologies in Electronics & Robotics, spoke about the innovations.
"SMELCOM Robotics — AGRODAY aircraft produces pollination at different points along a given route with preliminary processing of data obtained from another drone," says the young scientist of ASU.
In addition, ASU engineers keep improving the innovative Smelcom Rovsystem, which is a tool for underwater robotics. It is designed to survey various objects that are located within water areas.
The group of young engineers of Astrakhan State University is not going to remain complacent. The developers still have many discoveries and projects a head.
