Projects in New Format "Thesis in Form of Startup" Are Defended at ASU

Two graduating students of Astrakhan State University presented their final qualification works to the members of the examination commission.

The project of defenses in format "Thesis in Form of Startup"is being implemented for the first time at ASU; 31 applications were accepted for participation in the project. University students offered business solutions in the design of individual modular housing, a virtual engineering center, smart robotics tools, a mobile application with travel services, a futuristic hostel, production of branded textile products, development of biotechnological and other products and services.

Only two students managed to reach the final straight and successfully defend their projects. Anastasia Golyakevich, representing the Faculty of Economy & Management, defended the financial model for mobile application "Starting Point", and Ekaterina Finakova, an employee of the Sewing School and a graduating student of the ASU Faculty of Pedagogical Education, Art, Service & Culture, wrote afinal graduation paper on topic "Manufacturing a line of branded products in technology lessons".

The students not only managed to present their developments, but also actively answered the questions of the commission.

In their turn, the commission membersgave a few tips to the students of Astrakhan State University on how to implement their ideas in the best possible way.

According to Aleksey Titov, ASU Vice-Rector for Digitalization, Innovation & Priority Projects, the modern educational system is significantly different from the conventional one — it is open, high-speed and sensitive to changes.
