ASU Journalism Students Start Summer Internship

The 1st-3rd year students of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism of Astrakhan State University have started their educational internship which will last until July 24.

The students have the opportunity to undertake a traineeship in the leading mass media of Astrakhan Region, as well as district and regional newspapers. In addition to the media, many students are undertaking an internship in press services of various governmental agencies — the Astrakhan Regional Duma, the Youth Agency and multifunctional social center “Assistance”.

The first-year students of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism have yet to learn about the process of mass media work. Representatives of the second and third study years will be able to participate in creation of a multimedia product and try their hand at recording interviews, photographing and filming. In addition, students will be given the opportunity to publish materials created during the training period.
