Way to Go! ASU Holds Universitywide Graduation Ceremony
The Boiling Point Center of Astrakhan State University has honored this year’s 50 successful graduates on the threshold of the all-Russia Online Graduation Celebration.
Many years of efforts and dreams of those gathered have been leading to this solemn day which became the frontier between studentship and adult life. They managed to combine studies, scientific and social activities and sports competitions and made outstanding success in everything.
Congratulating the graduates, ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov expressed his joy that a significant part of them will continue to study or stay to work at our university. The rector wished the graduates high spirits, good impressions and implementation of plans, and also thanked all the professors who made efforts to ensure that the students were the best. In addition, the head of the university recalled the existence of the ASU Alumni Club and urged the newly fledged specialists to stay in touch with the university.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and member of the ASU Board of Overseers Leonid Ogul was the guest of honor at the ceremony. He noted that Astrakhan State University is a point of attraction, the capacity of which is increasing every year, and wished that talented students not only from Astrakhan and the region, but also from other regions of Russia would come here.
In addition, participants and guests of the solemn occasion watched a congratulating video made by Aleksandr Ilyin, Advisor to the Director-General of Channel One Russia. According to him, the students graduated from one of the best universities in the country and their education meets the highest international standards.
A concert programme with lively dancing and singing items had been prepared for the graduated students.
