Journalism Graduates of ASU Receive Their Diplomas

Astrakhan State University has held an official ceremony of awarding documents on higher education to the media-experts-to-be — Bachelors and Masters of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism.

ASU Vice Rector for Digitalization, Innovations & Priority Projects Aleksey Titov addressed the students with a farewell speech.

“Today, the graduates begin their path to new goals, knowledge, new achievements and heights. I hope that everything that you have acquired within the walls of our university will be useful to you in life and you will manage to make your most cherished dreams come true,” he said.

During the period of their studies, the students participated in project “Theater Journalism” and mastered the School of Parliamentary Journalism programme, having received respective certificates. In addition, they became diploma winners of the 4th Caspian Media Forum, where they presented development “Guide to Musical Clusters of the Caspian Sea”, and demonstrated their printed publication projects at the 1st Children & Youth Literary Festival. These works were highly appreciated by Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation on Cultural Issues, Russian journalist and writer Vladimir Tolstoy.

Sharing their plans for the future, most of the graduates expressed a desire to continue their studies in the MA programme and further develop in the professional field in order to become qualified media experts.
