ASU Projects Are Presented for Sustainable Development Week Grant Competition
The Global Goals Week is a global civil society initiative aimed at implementing the 2030 Agenda through eradicating poverty, fighting inequality and tackling climate change.
Staff members of the Department “UNESCO Chair: Learning Society and Human Sustainable Development” have taken part in the competition on behalf of Astrakhan State University. Chief Specialist Svetlana Blinkova presented environmental project “Do You Need a Bag?” aimed at drawing public attention to the issues of environmental pollution and the littering of the planet; it also contributes to the development of the population’s skills in economical relations with the world around them and increases the level of environmental culture and literacy.
Specialist Daria Krasnova presented the project of excursion route “History of Famous Astrakhan Women”. It is aimed at creating positive attitudes and informing the population about the topic of gender equality through the lens of the history of lives of outstanding women of Astrakhan Region that have made an invaluable contribution to the culture and science of Russia.
Projects that have received funding will be implemented during the Global Goals Week on September 17-28.
